This Saturday, May 5, 2012, Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County volunteers will work together as a part of our 2012 Volunteer Day to revamp the BGCM Asbury Park and Red Bank Units for the upcoming summer months.

During Volunteer Day, volunteers will work together to beautify the units by cleaning, repairing, painting, and gardening.

One volunteer, in particular, has taken the extra initiative to improve the outside of the Clubs. Volunteer Eleanor James, who has over eight years of architecture and landscape design experience, has designed a full garden and landscape design plan for both the Asbury Park and Red Bank Units. During Volunteer Day, James will oversee the planting of a vegetable and herb garden at the Red Bank Unit as well as the exterior cleanup at the Asbury Park Unit.
