ASBURY PARK – Bright-eyed and with a quick-triggered smile, Tylik Pugh does his homework every day after school at The Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County in Asbury Park.

He’s grateful for the help in subjects such as math and science and also enjoys shooting hoops when he gets done with his homework.

“You can do a lot of stuff here,” Tylik said.

“They’re helpful if you don’t understand something. … They’ll teach you to understand it.”

Tylik was very excited on Thursday when the club unveiled its new advanced computer lab, which was donated by the Trenton-based management services firm Northstar New Jersey, a private company that manages the state’s lottery.
