Quiana is a 10-year-old 5th grader at Midtown Community Elementary School in Neptune. She has been coming to the Club for about 3 years, but has been attending regularly for the past year.

When Quiana first came to the Club, she lacked self-confidence, had very few friends, and was often bullied in school. Because of this, she was hesitant to warm up to staff and other Club kids.

Since spending consistent time at the Club, Quiana has made real friends. She is much more social, and because she feels supported, her confidence has grown tremendously. Her favorite activity at the Club is dance, and her favorite program is SMART Girls (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training).

When asked about her Club experience, Quiana says, “I have fun with my new friends at the Club, and I feel loved and wanted when I come here.”
