Many Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County members do not have access to technology outside of the classroom. In order to equip our children with the skills they will need to thrive academically, the Club provides unique learning opportunities to our children in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math). We recently hired Henri Lee as our Technology Coordinator, and he comes to the Club with a strong background in technology, education, and working with children. He is looking forward to going beyond the basics and teaching the kids about social media, graphic design, 3D printing, and even how to create podcasts.

On Valentine’s Day, Henri taught a graphic design lesson by having the children create Valentine’s Day cards in the computer lab. Once the kids learned to create digital cards, Henri says he “brought it back old school style” and had the kids make traditional hand-drawn cards to bring home to their family members. The kids loved seeing how creative they could be, and they learned some new computer skills in the process.

Welcome to the Club, Henri. We look forward to your future contributions!
