The Code Blue Coalition provides shelter, food, toiletries, and other services to at-risk individuals when the temperature drops below freezing. Our Red Bank Unit Director, Ebony Holloway, serves on the advisory council for Code Blue, an initiative organized by a long-time Club supporter Reverend Terrence Porter of Pilgrim Baptist Church. On Thursday, November 15th, organizers, community members, and government and public officials gathered to celebrate the opening of the initiative’s warming center on Shrewsbury Avenue in Red Bank. The ceremonial ribbon cutting was performed by Jon Bon Jovi, who with wife Dorothea, has opened warming centers in Camden and Philadelphia.
