When and how did you first become involved with the Club?
My involvement with the Boys & Girls Club started in July 2019 upon opening my second studio location for Tandem Cycle in Asbury Park. Our mission at Tandem Cycle is to extend our reach beyond the bike and make a positive impact within our community. My partnership with iStar, a long-time supporter of the Club, provided me with the opportunity to connect with them. Helping to empower young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens was a cause I was thrilled to get behind.
What is the most rewarding aspect of being a supporter of our work?
In these last 8 months, I have experienced many rewarding aspects of being a supporter of your work. I have loved meeting and connecting with the staff and have the highest level of respect for your hard work and continued commitment to these children and their futures. In this time of uncertainty we are currently experiencing in the world, it is even more important that your members have the support system and comfort of knowing that although the Club building is closed, you guys are there for them by providing relief through other creative avenues. One exceptionally rewarding experience was last holiday season when both of our studio locations contributed to a giving tree for the Club. We were overwhelmed by the amount of gifts our Tandem Cycle community donated. My husband and I brought our children to deliver the gifts to the kids and teens at your Club in Asbury Park, which made our holiday one of the brightest.
What else can you tell us about you, beyond your involvement with the Club?
Beyond my involvement with the Club, I am the founder of Tandem Cycle, a wife, and a mother of three awesome boys ages 5, 3 & 1! We live locally, and when I am not at the studio, you can find me at one of the great playgrounds or beautiful beaches our area has to offer.
