Name and Job Title: Sandra Benedict, Development and Events Manager

How long have you been working at the Club?

4 weeks!

What is your favorite part about working for the Club?

I love the concept of a ripple effect, and I see the Club as an uplifting stone cast into still water. Whether it’s a warm greeting as a child walks in, their excitement at participating in our STEM program or dance team, a group discussion on the dangers of drug use, or a gentle “You seem down today…is there anything I can do to help?”—the Club’s impact endures. To me, life is a series of moments, each one building on the last. By offering our kids affirming, positive experiences, we help lay the foundation for a brighter future. Every day, the Club’s comprehensive youth development programs create these meaningful moments for hundreds of underserved children in our community, helping them explore and grow to their full potential. The work we do here has the power to create lasting, positive change—for each child, and for our entire community.

What or who has been a significant influence in your life and why?

My children (I have 5) have taught me so many meaningful lessons—about gratitude, patience, and what matters most.

What’s a fun fact about you that most people at the Club might not know?

I’m a certified spin instructor.
