ASBURY PARK, NJ – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BGCM) has announced a monumental achievement, surpassing its ambitious goal of raising $1 million for the 2024 Bright Futures Fund. This milestone ensures the continued success of programs that provide life-changing opportunities for youth in areas such as education, workforce readiness, mental health support, and more.
“The Bright Futures Fund reflects our commitment to creating opportunities where none exist, turning critical after-school hours into a time of discovery, learning, and growth for kids who need it most,” said Douglas Eagles, CEO of BGCM.
The success of this fundraising campaign was significantly bolstered by three transformative challenge grants, issued by board member Nancy Karpf, long-time donor Bill Luby, and the Grunin Foundation. Jeremy Grunin, president of the Grunin Foundation and a BGCM board member, praised the collective effort. “It’s inspiring to see how our community came together to ensure that every child has access to opportunities that can change their future,” Grunin remarked.
Funds from the Bright Futures Fund are dedicated to essential initiatives such as trauma-informed care, STEM and arts programming, and mentorship and college readiness resources. These programs have a profound impact on hundreds of children and teens across Monmouth County, transforming their lives and empowering them to achieve their full potential.
BGCM expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors, partners, and advocates who contributed to this remarkable achievement. The organization plans to build on this momentum in 2025, furthering its mission to empower all young people, especially those who need it most, to become productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
The success of the Bright Futures Fund demonstrates the power of community collaboration and the profound difference it can make in shaping the future for Monmouth County’s youth.
