As we move into spring—a season of growth and renewal—I am excited to share how the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County is embracing our theme for the year: Opportunity in Every Moment. This theme embodies our commitment to ensuring that every interaction, every lesson, and every experience at the Club helps shape a brighter future for our kids.
At the Boys & Girls Clubs, we believe that every moment with a Club kid is a chance to make a positive change, inspire a vision for the future, and equip a young person with the tools they’ll need to thrive. Our dedicated staff and volunteers are committed to making every second count, providing our members with opportunities that foster academic and professional growth, as well as the development of good character and citizenship.
This past year has been a testament to the impact of these opportunities. From 2023 to 2024, our registered membership grew from 849 to 1,281—a remarkable 50% increase. Our outreach extended to 1,851 youth, up 37% from the previous year, reflecting our expanded capacity to influence young lives beyond our Club walls. Furthermore, we served 81,638 nutritious meals in 2024, an 80% increase from the 45,300 meals provided in 2023, ensuring our kids are not only learning but also well-nourished.
This work is only possible because of you. We are grateful for our network of supporters—including individual donors, collaborative agencies, corporate and family foundations, and local, state, and federal government partners. Your generosity and belief in our mission allow us to make the most of every moment with our Club kids. Whether you give your time, resources, or expertise, you are helping to create a future where all young people have access to opportunity.
