Deal, NJ – June 25, 2025 – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BGCM) hosted its 18th annual “Swing for the Kids” golf tournament on Monday, June 23rd, at the prestigious Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, NJ. This year’s event raised a record-breaking $280,000 to support after-school and summer programming for over 1,800 children and teens across Monmouth County.

Golfers enjoyed a full day on Hollywood’s premier 18-hole course, with access to lunch, dinner, open bar service, hand-rolled cigars, and other high-end amenities. The tournament was capped at 80 players, allowing for an energetic but relaxed pace throughout the day.

In a powerful show of generosity during the dinner program, one anonymous donor offered a $50,000 matching challenge to support BGCM’s newly launched Opportunity Fund—a $1.5 million campaign to meet the rising demand for life-shaping youth programs. In a surprise moment of generosity, a second anonymous donor in the room stepped up to match the match, doubling the impact and inspiring the room to respond in full.

This year’s “Swing for the Kids” tournament was made possible by the generous support of our title sponsors: Woodhaven Lumber and Millwork; Navigators, A Brand of The Hartford; Starfield Companies; and Kate Sweeney & Fifi Max. Additional sponsors included Monmouth Medical Center, PMC Wireless, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Nancy Karpf, JP Morgan Private Bank, Jaguar Land Rover of Monmouth, New Jersey Natural Gas, and Ray Catena.

“We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and supporters who continue to step up year after year to invest in our mission,” said Douglas Eagles, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County. “The launch of The Opportunity Fund comes at a time when more youth than ever are turning to us for safe spaces, caring mentors, and transformative programs. This campaign is about meeting that moment—and building the future our kids deserve.”

The Swing for the Kids tournament has become a cherished tradition for BGCM, offering a meaningful way for corporate partners, community leaders, and longtime supporters to rally around a shared purpose: creating opportunity in every moment for local kids and teens.
