As recent federal funding challenges ripple through youth-serving organizations nationwide, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BGCM) is doubling down on what has always made it strong: the commitment of its community. This month, BGCM announced the launch of the Great Futures Giving Club, a monthly giving program designed to provide a steady stream of support for the Club’s academic, character-building, and wellness programs. The initiative will help protect these vital services from disruption — ensuring that more than 1,800 local youth continue to have safe spaces, caring mentors, and life-changing opportunities year-round.
“The Club has always been a safe harbor for kids, especially in uncertain times,” said Douglas Eagles, CEO of BGCM. “While we’re grateful for every source of support, we know that individual donors are the backbone of our organization. The Great Futures Giving Club gives our neighbors the opportunity to stand in the gap for Monmouth County kids, ensuring their futures aren’t left to chance.”
With membership starting at as little as $19.38 per month—in honor of the year of our founding—donors in the Great Futures Giving Club will directly fund programs like Power Hour homework help, STEAM activities, good character and citizenship initiatives, leadership development, sports, and nutritious meals. These consistent contributions allow BGCM to plan ahead, retain talented staff, and maintain the stability that families count on — regardless of shifting economic or political landscapes.
The Great Futures Giving Club is open to individuals, families, and businesses who want to make a direct, lasting difference in the lives of Monmouth County youth.
