College students and adults who are interested in tutoring and can commit to two meetings per week, one session at a time are encouraged to apply.
Successful tutors come from all different backgrounds but share a willingness and a commitment to working with children. Patience, preparation, and flexibility are key attributes of successful tutors.
A teaching background is not required, but tutors must be proficient in math and reading. Each tutor will receive basic training and orientation and will be subject to a background check, including fingerprinting.
