After being chosen the Monmouth County Youth of the Year on April 11th, Kaelah advanced to the state competition held at Montclair State University on Tuesday, June 12th. Kaelah was an exceptionally strong candidate, and while she did not win the overall title, she did place within the top 4 and received a $3,500 scholarship for her efforts.

Hear Kaelah speak about what the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County means to her.

This competition honors the most inspiring Club teens who embody the values of leadership, service, academic excellence, and healthy lifestyles. Over the past 5 years, close to 100 New Jersey Club teens have participated in this leadership program and have been awarded $267,000 in scholarships to further their college education.

At our Club, we look forward to ushering through another round of strong Youth of the Year candidates in 2019. Congratulations, Kaelah, on all your hard work!
