Each year, one Club member who exhibits exceptional leadership skills in areas such as communication, goal-setting, and teamwork is selected to be the local Youth of the Year, serving as an ambassador for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County youth. The BGCM Youth of the Year will be chosen on April 18, 2018 at a dinner at the Asbury Hotel. The judges are community members who have connected to the BGCM mission.

Kaelah Grant
Kaelah is 16 years old and has been a Club member for 9 years. She has a strong work ethic and plans to attend Johns Hopkins to study neurosurgery.
Javon Pearsall
Javon Pearsall
Javon is 18 years old and has been a Club member for the past 13 years. He describes himself as honest, hardworking, and outgoing. He has a great work ethic, is eager to learn, and is very determined. Javon plans to attend college and get a nursing degree.

Quinaya Miller
Quinaya is also 18 years old and has been a Club member for 10 years. She describes herself as determined and persistent and plans to study criminal justice in college.
