Deal, NJ – June 24, 2026 – The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BGCM) hosted its 19th annual “Swing for the Kids” golf tournament on Monday, June 22nd, at Hollywood Golf Club in Deal, NJ. When rain and lightning moved in after 12 holes, play was called early, but the generosity of the day was unaffected with over $250,000 raised.
Golfers took to Hollywood’s premier course for an afternoon of competition, with a gourmet lunch, open bar service, hand-rolled cigars, an exciting silent auction, and a delicious dinner. Though the round was shortened by weather, the tournament delivered the kind of atmosphere that has made this event a staple on the Monmouth County philanthropic calendar.
This year’s “Swing for the Kids” tournament was made possible by the generous support of our presenting sponsors: Woodhaven Lumber & Millwork; Navigators, A Brand of The Hartford; Starfield Companies; and Kate Sweeney & Fifi Max. The event was further supported by PMC Wireless; Monmouth Medical Center; Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey; Crum & Forster; Manasquan Bank; Apollo; Nancy Karpf; JP Morgan; Ray Catena Mercedes; and New Jersey Natural Gas. Land Rover Monmouth served as the Hole-in-One sponsor.
During the dinner program, Asbury Park Club alum Kaelah Grant delivered a moving testimony about the impact the Club has had on her life: “I found a safe place. I found caring adults who believed in me. I found mentors who challenged me, encouraged me, and helped me see possibilities for my future that I had never imagined.” Ms. Grant, who earned her master’s degree in Public and Global Health from Columbia University, credits the Boys & Girls Club for instilling in her a belief that “a child from Asbury Park deserved opportunities.”
The Swing for the Kids tournament has become a cornerstone event for BGCM, bringing together corporate partners, community leaders, and longtime supporters around a shared investment in local youth. Proceeds support after-school and summer programming for children and teens across Monmouth County.
