Our Long Branch campers recently welcomed a special visitor from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office: K-9 Maverick!
Maverick and his handler stopped by to give our campers an up-close look at the training, discipline, and teamwork that go into a working K-9 unit. Campers learned about Maverick’s important role in law enforcement and how he and his handler work together to help keep our communities safe, from tracking to detection to the everyday bond that makes their partnership possible.
It was a hands-on, memorable experience for our campers, many of whom got to see a K-9 officer in action for the first time. Visits like this are a great reminder of the everyday heroes, human and canine alike, who look out for our community.
Our campers definitely have a greater appreciation for the people and animals who serve our community. Thank you to the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office and Maverick for stopping by!
