On Nov. 29, more than 250 sponsors, guests and the members of Impact 100 Jersey Coast gathered at The Vogel in Red Bank for the culminating event of a year’s work: the awarding of four $100,000 Impact Grants and four $8,750 Mission Awards to local nonprofit organizations who support underserved communities in Monmouth County.

As they do each year, Impact 100 Jersey Coast Grant Review Committee members conduct a six-month grant application, review and selection process. They select eight finalists representing the categories of Arts & Culture, Children & Families, Education, Sustainability & Environment, and Health & Wellness. Those eight finalists come to come together to present their final pitches for the grants. Then the members participate in the live ‘’one woman, one vote” process. The ballots are counted on site, and within minutes, the eight winners are announced.

Grants of $100,000 each were awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County in collaboration with Food for Thought by the Sea, No Limits Café, Shore House and the Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.

Mission Awards of $8,750 each were awarded to Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Monmouth County, New Jersey Repertory Company, Ocean’s Harbor House in collaboration with The Source at Red Bank Regional and Rising Treetops at Oakhurst.
