The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County (BGCM) celebrated a record-breaking evening at its inaugural Great Futures Gala: Rock the Future on Saturday, October 25, at the Wave Resort in Long Branch. The sold-out event raised more than $500,000—the most successful fundraiser in the organization’s history—to support life-shaping programs for children and teens across Monmouth County.
The evening honored Morgan Stanley and Crum & Forster with the organization’s Spotlight Award, recognizing their exceptional commitment to opportunity, equity, and community.
Mandell Crawley, Executive Vice President and Chief Client Officer at Morgan Stanley and a Governor on the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Board, delivered a powerful speech reflecting on his own journey from Club member to corporate leader. David Butterfield, representing Crum & Forster, also shared inspiring remarks about the company’s long-standing partnership with BGCM and its dedication to creating brighter futures for local youth.
Adding to the excitement of the evening, the BGCM Diamonds Dance Team performed a crowd-pleasing routine to “Jailhouse Rock,” earning a standing ovation and perfectly complementing the gala’s rock and roll theme.
“We were absolutely blown away by the generosity and enthusiasm in the room,” said Douglas Eagles, CEO of BGCM. “In a world where so many kids face uncertainty, our Club continues to be a place of stability, safety, and opportunity. The success of this event means even more young people will have access to the support and experiences that can change their lives.”
Proceeds from the Great Futures Gala will directly fund BGCM’s after-school and summer programs in academic success, workforce readiness, character development, and healthy lifestyles for more than 1,800 young people in Asbury Park, Red Bank, Neptune, and Long Branch.
