The Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County would like to introduce our new Executive Director, Mr. Douglas Eagles, who joined the organization on Monday, April 23, 2012.

Mr. Eagles has over eight years of experience working within the youth nonprofit sector and has a longstanding commitment to the youth of Monmouth County. He began his career with Aslan Youth Ministries, a nonprofit organization serving disadvantaged children in Red Bank, Asbury Park, and Long Branch, NJ.  In 2007 he became the Chief Operating Officer, where he increased special event fundraising, strengthened board relations, and successfully implemented a strategic plan. Most recently, he served as Director of Leadership and Development at UrbanPromise International in Camden, NJ. There he was responsible for training emerging leaders from around the world in nonprofit management and at-risk youth development.

Doug’s experience with programming and development, as well as his leadership abilities, will enable Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County to continue fulfilling its mission to provide safe places for young people, where they can receive programs and services that empower them to realize their full potential.

Eagles stated, “I look forward to providing the leadership and support necessary to ensure the continued success of Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County.”

Mr. Eagles resides with his wife Kathryn and their two sons in Middletown. He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Philosophy from Eastern University in Pennsylvania and a Masters of Arts in International Relations with a concentration on Conflict Resolution from The New School University in New York.
