On June 18th the newly renovated Asbury Lanes had its grand reopening–a benefit that resulted in $125,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County–featuring a special performance by Bruce Springsteen. The Lanes is near and dear to us at the Club; it is the original venue for our biggest fundraiser of the year, a Most Unusual Evening.

The renovation is a fantastic example of the extensive investments that iStar, owners of the Lanes, is making in Asbury Park. Brian Cheripka is the VP of Land Development for iStar, and he has been serving on our board of directors for several years. Brian has provided the vision and leadership necessary for us to achieve our mission of empowering our community’s young people to reach their full potential. Beyond that, iStar has invested over $500,000 in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County.

We are inspired by and grateful for their commitment to both the waterfront AND the west side of Asbury Park.
