Hello! My name is Alexis Gervasini, and I joined the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County as the Program Director this past May. I am a former middle school teacher from New York City and have a Master of Arts in Teaching from Pace University.

As an educator, it has always been a passion of mine to impact the lives of children who need it most. After hearing about this position at the Boys & Girls Club, I thought to myself, this would be a great opportunity to impact the lives of so many more children than can fit into one classroom.

While working at the Boys & Girls Club, I hope to continue to create, modify, and implement successful programs that can forever impact the children involved. I hope to use program outcomes to drive and modify future programs! Being at the Club for the past two months, I have witnessed the impact the Club experience has on the members. Members have the opportunity to participate in so many different programs and activities that benefit them in so many different ways. You can see the joy all over their faces when they are here. I think this is what makes working for the Boys & Girls Club that much better, to see the impact you are making right in front of your eyes! I am blessed to wake up every day to come to a place that never feels like “work.”
