Earlier this month, seventy-five teens from across Monmouth County came together for a powerful day of growth, exploration, and future planning at our second annual Future Ready Fest. Hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County, this event is designed to help young people build the confidence and skills they need to take their next big steps—whether that’s college, career, trade programs, or service.

A Day Built for Discovery and Confidence

Throughout the day, participants rotated through interactive workshops led by mentors, professionals, and community partners. Sessions included:

  • Goal setting and personal planning

  • Career exploration across multiple industries

  • Professional presentation and communication

  • Resume writing and interview skills

  • Networking and real-world career conversations

Each session gave teens practical tools and hands-on experience to help them navigate the transition from today’s dreams to tomorrow’s opportunities.

Strengthening Workforce Readiness in Our Community

Future Ready Fest is a cornerstone of BGCMC’s commitment to workforce readiness—a year-round effort to ensure our members leave the Club prepared to succeed in school, work, and life. Through programs that build essential skills, cultivate positive habits, and expand students’ understanding of career pathways, we’re helping open doors that lead to long-term success.

Looking Ahead

The excitement and energy from this year’s Future Ready Fest reaffirmed what we already know: when teens are supported, encouraged, and equipped with the right tools, they rise. We’re grateful to all the partners, volunteers, staff, and, most importantly, the young people who made this event such an inspiring day.
