The pandemic caused the club, which serves hundreds of children ages 5 to 18 each year, to overturn how it operates, expanding its hours, increasing its costs and reaching beyond their walls to help both children and adults in the community.
Springsteen will be the special guest in Asbury Park on June 18 at the Asbury Lanes concert to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County. The venue reopened last month after major renovations.
The new lab features more than $20,000 worth of equipment, including new laptop computers, a smartboard, a television studio, tablet devices and a 3D printer.
